As we head into the Thanksgiving long weekend, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the incredible students, families, and staff who make up the Simon Fraser School community.

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the people and experiences that enrich our lives. I am thankful for your support, and commitment to helping our students succeed.

I wish you all a joyful Thanksgiving filled with laughter, connection, and time with those who matter most.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Cross Country Running had three successful meets with the season now concluded. Boys and Girls Soccer teams had their final regular season games this week. Playoffs begin next week. Basketball regular season games are now underway. Game schedules for athletics can be found on the Simon Fraser website. The Simon Fraser Wrestling team will begin soon. This is a no-cut team, so any student who wants to join and who attends practices will be on the team. There will be an information meeting for students next week during lunch. Students can check the daily bulletin and PE bulletin board for more information.

Remind| PE Gym Strip

Students must change their shirts for PE class every day. This does not have to be Simon Fraser gear, however if your student is wanting some SF gear, we have two options for purchasing swag.

  • Option 1: Online Store – Deadline for order is Sunday, October 11th. The delivery date is Monday, November 2nd. Items available include t-shirts, hoodies and sweatpants. To access the Simon Fraser Store, please go to https://beastinc.ca/find-my-store/
  • Option 2: In stock Items – We have some items in stock at school for purchase. Shorts are available in any youth or adult size ($5). We have youth medium t-shirts for $5. Sweatpants are available in any youth and adult size except for adult small ($10). If your student wishes to purchase our in-stock items, they can bring cash into the main office or see Ms. Craig in the PE office.

Reminder| Picture Retakes

Just a quick reminder that Picture Retakes take place on Tuesday, October 13th. After the Thanksgiving holiday Monday.

Remind| Traffic Safety

As the days are getting shorter and darker, we are noticing that students are more at risk when crossing the roads around the school. Please be sure to follow all traffic laws and regulations including:

  • No parking in the bus zone
  • No U-turns
  • Be aware of crosswalks and people crossing the road
