It is almost hard to believe that we are already finished the first full month of the school year. We were thrilled to see so many of our students and staff wearing orange shirts last week to commemorate Orange Shirt Day. It is a small way that we can continue to recognize that there is still much to learn and do as we work towards reconciliation.

A huge thank you to staff and students for continuing to hold up Simon Fraser School values when going offsite. Our athletes are engaging positively in sports and students are representing us well in activities such as canoeing trips, Leadership Camp, working with band clinicians and at lunch. Keep up the good work!

Reminder| Grade 9 West Coast Trip

A reminder that there is a mandatory parent meeting on Thursday, Oct 10th at 6:30.  Deposits can now be paid online on PowerSchool via MyCBE account.

If your child is still interested in going on this year’s West Coast trip, please email Mr. Komori at jakomori@cbe.ab.ca

Request| Lost & Found

Articles of clothing, lunchboxes and personal belongings found around the school or on the playground are deposited in the lost and found boxes located main doors (across from the gym). Valuables and money are turned in at the office. Students are expected to be responsible for their own possessions. However, parents are asked to assist by reminding students to check the lost and found bin to claim lost items. As of this update, our bin is already overflowing. Please be aware that we will donate unclaimed items to charity at the end of every month.
