Inform| Transportation Registration is Now Open
Families are now able to register for school bus service for the 2025-2026 school year.
Registration is available using your MyCBE account.
Families must register by June 8, 2025, for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.
CBE continues to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 8 deadline will be delayed. Confirmed routes are posted in late August. For those who register after the June 8 deadline, it may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus.
Transportation can be cancelled with no financial impact by submitting the cancellation form by Sept. 30, 2025.
The proposed fees for transportation service for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows:
- $360/year for those students designated to yellow school bus transportation
 - $180/year for one-way kindergarten transportation
 - No fee for students attending specialized classes who are designated to specialized transportation

Remind| Provincial Achievement Tests (PAT)
PAT’s are part of a balanced, broad-based program of student assessment for Grades 6 and 9 students. The results provide some of the information that guides our educators as they set targets for student achievement and track the results of school improvement initiatives. Visit the CBE website for more information on our students’ provincial testing.
Teachers will remain focused on delivering the programs of study for all courses and will continue to assess student achievement based on the grade level outcomes as determined by the Government of Alberta.
Here are a couple of reminders for grade 6 and 9 students leading into the PAT this week:
- Students are recommended to have a full bottle of water and a snack with them during the writing time.
 - Students must keep their digital devices turned off in their lockers (or better yet left at home)
 - Students are encouraged to take a novel to the writing room to read if they finish before the allotted time.
 - Students using the allotted extra time will remain in the room or will move to another one to continue their exam.
 - Students in need of a washroom break will be escorted to the washroom.

Remind| Traffic Safety
Please take time this weekend to speak to your kids about safe travel practices like using crosswalks, looking all ways before crossing the street and not jaywalking across the roadways as a shortcut.
For the safety of all, please do not drop off or pick up students in the parking lot. Please contact the office if you have a special situation that needs access to the parking lot doors (e.g., special project, injury etc.).
