As we move into the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible work happening across our school community.

Today was Flames Day! What an incredible day of fun, energy, and school spirit. The event was a huge success, and I want to take a moment to thank our amazing students, supportive School Council and dedicated staff for putting it all together!

A special congratulations goes out to all the students who participated in our Spring Band Concert. The performance was a true showcase of talent, dedication, and hours of practice. Thank you to Ms. Andersson and her supporting crew of assistants for guiding and inspiring our young musicians as you helped create a night to remember!

Beyond the concert, this spring has been filled with so many meaningful contributions: from classroom projects and athletics to leadership initiatives, wellness activities, and field trips (sailing was certainly the highlight). Our students continue to impress us with their creativity, commitment, and kindness. Thank you to our staff for the energy and heart you bring to every opportunity. I know June is busy, but your efforts make our school a vibrant and welcoming place to learn and grow.

We are so proud of everything our students have accomplished and look forward to finishing the year strong together.

Remind| Transportation Registration is Now Open

Families are now able to register for school bus service for the 2025-2026 school year.

Registration is available using your MyCBE account.

Families must register by Sunday, June 22, 2025, for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.

Registrations will be accepted after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 22 deadline will be delayed. Confirmed routes will be posted in late August. For those who register after the June 22 deadline, it may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus.

Transportation can be cancelled with no financial impact by submitting the cancellation form by Sept. 30, 2025.

Request| Conversation

As we head into the summer months and temperatures continue to rise, so do… certain scents in our hallways and classrooms. While we love our students dearly, it’s become clear that some could use a gentle reminder about the magical powers of soap, deodorant, and clean clothes.

We kindly ask that you have a quick (and hopefully not too awkward) conversation with your child about the importance of personal hygiene, especially during these warm and wonderful months when sweat seems to be everyone’s constant companion.

Thank you for your help in keeping our learning environment fresh, friendly, and funk-free!

Inform| Water Guns

As the weather begins to improve, we are seeing an increase in the use of water guns on school property. We kindly remind you that water guns are not permitted on school property at any time. While we understand they may be part of summer fun, bringing them to school can cause unnecessary distractions and safety concerns. Please help us maintain a safe and respectful learning environment by ensuring your child leaves all forms of toy weapons at home. Thank you for your support and cooperation. Water guns will be confiscated, and possible further progressive discipline will occur if needed.

Request| School Fees Owing

As our school year is quickly drawing to a close, encourage parents and legal guardians to pay outstanding fees through their MyCBE account by June 30th.

Request| Lost Clothing Looking for Homes

Our lost and found is jam-packed with jackets, sweatshirts, shoes, lunch kits, and hoodies. Please encourage your child to check the lost and found area if they are missing a jacket or a shoe. We will be donating any remaining items at the lost and found after next week, or at the start of the week of June 9.
