Dear Families and Students,
As we wrap up another school year, we want to take a moment to say thank you. It’s been a year filled with learning, growth, challenges, and countless memories, and we are so proud of everything our students have accomplished. A big thank you to our very supportive School Council and countless volunteers who have contributed to the overall success of Simon Fraser School. Together, we can do great things.
To our grade 9 students: we wish you all the best as you move on to high school. You have left your mark on our school, and we know you’ll continue to do amazing things in the years ahead. Watch for information regarding back to school on your new school’s website.

To our new 2025-2026 students: Welcome to Simon Fraser School - Home of the Flames. We look forward to meeting you in the fall! Inform| West Coast 2026 Update
Great news! We have received 42 applications thus far for the Grade 9 West Coast Trip in 2026, therefore we have booked 2 trips for the Spring of 2026! All students who have applied will have a spot on one of the trips. As mentioned in the email sent by Ms. Casagranda earlier this week, deposits can now be paid online through PowerSchool. We will continue to accept applications in the fall to fill up the remaining 12 spots. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Komori at jakomori@cbe.ab.ca.
Inform| High School Volleyball
Please be aware that the Season of Play for CSHSAA High School Volleyball starts on August 27, 2025. If students are interested in trying out for volleyball, please check with your specific high school on when the volleyball program will start.
