Inform| Athletics
Simon Fraser Athletics continue to be a highlight! Our Wrestling team participates in the Tom Baines tournament today and tomorrow. Student athletes need to arrive at Tom Baines for 9 am.
Volleyball teams have been created, and games begin the week of January 27th, 2025. Trying out for a team takes courage, and we are incredibly proud of all the students who stepped forward and gave their best effort. With only 13 spots available on each team, as determined by the athletic association, we understand how challenging it can be for those who were not selected. Please take a moment to encourage your child to reflect on the resilience and growth they have gained by stepping out of their comfort zone, regardless of the outcome.
We also want to reassure families that every student who tries out has an equal opportunity to make the team—whether they have participated in past seasons or how long they have been at Simon Fraser School.
Finally, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible volunteer coaches. Their dedication and generosity go far beyond the sport itself, helping students build teamwork, perseverance, and a sense of pride in representing our school positively. Go Flames!

Families can view, download, or print online report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 students on Monday, Jan. 27 until May 30, 2025, through MyCBE.

Our next meeting is on Monday, January 20 @ 6:30 pm in the Learning Commons. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend. See you there!
Inform| Grade 9 Vaccinations
Community Health Nurses will be at the school to provide grade 9 vaccinations to those students who have returned their signed consent forms on January 23, 2025.
Celebrate| Grade 9 High School Tours & Grade 5 Field Trip
Our grade 9 students represented themselves and our school very well at grade 9 tours this week at Sir Winston Churchill and John Diefenbaker High Schools.
Our grade 5 students also did very well at their recent field trip at the Hanger Flight Museum.
