Thank you to all the students and staff who helped make our Remembrance Day assemblies so meaningful. The performances, reflections, and participation showed great respect and understanding for the importance of this day. A special thank you to our MCs for leading the ceremonies with confidence and care, I especially appreciated their script pertaining to the strength of diversity, “Canada's strength has always come from its diversity - people of many cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs have stood side by side in times of war and peace. From Indigenous soldiers and nurses to newcomers who fought for a country they had just begun to call home; their courage and dedication remind us that unity is built through respect and inclusion. In our own school community, we see that same strength and diversity every day - in the way we learn from one another, support each other, and work together to make our school a welcoming and safe place for all “.
