Remind| School Conferences 

School Conferences are an opportunity to engage in conversation about your child’s learning. During School Conferences, parents/guardians and teachers are able to communicate openly about student learning, especially with respect to areas of strength and areas of growth. They help build and sustain respectful relationships that allow both parties to share information and develop strategies to support student success. 

Simon Fraser Fall School Conferences take place on: 

  • In-Person: Thursday November 27th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm 
  • Virtual: Friday November 28th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm 

Conferences must be booked via MyCBE. The system closes on Wednesday November 26th at 12:00 pm. If you require support booking a school conference, please refer to this site. 

Remind| School Council 

We would like to remind parents/guardians of our upcoming School Council meeting, which will be held both in-person and online to support everyone’s availability.

We are also continuing our search for someone to fill the voluntary Secretary position on the School Council. If you are interested or would like to learn more about the role, please let us know as we would greatly appreciate your support. 

Update| Athletics 

Our basketball season is winding down. Teams will continue to have practices next week and will have Exhibition games amongst each other in the first week of December. Teams will also have their wrap up parties the first week in December. Thank you to all the students who participated in this year’s team. Although there were minimal games, a lot of fun was had by both students and coaches. 

Wrestling practices began this week. Practices will continue for the next couple of weeks on Mondays and Thursdays. Our Divisional Meet takes place on Tuesday, December 9th at the Genesis Center. 

Update | Individual Program Plans 

Students with Individual Program Plans (IPP) have brought home a physical copy, or the parent/guardians have been emailed a digital copy of the IPP earlier this week. If you have not yet received your student’s IPP, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher. Please communicate with your homeroom teacher if there are amendments to be made or sign and return the signature sheet as soon as possible. Thank you.

We are thrilled to invite you to our Book Fair occurring this coming week during school hours (9 am to 2 pm). The book fair will also be open during School Conferences on Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm.
