As we come to the close of another wonderful school year, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for your ongoing support, partnership, and trust. It truly takes a community to create the vibrant, caring, and engaging environment our students are fortunate to experience each day.
What a year it has been! Together, we have celebrated so many memorable moments; our inspiring band concerts, exciting athletic events, and the incredible school production that showcased the talents of our students. Our clubs flourished, our pancake breakfasts brought us together, and our field trips created lasting memories beyond the classroom walls. From outdoor school adventures to sailing trips, and everything in between, these experiences have made our school a place where learning comes alive.
None of this would be possible without the dedication of our incredible staff. I want to extend a special thanks for the countless hours they give beyond the school day; planning, coaching, organizing, and supporting students. Their commitment to providing rich and meaningful opportunities makes an immeasurable difference in the lives of our learners.
To our Evanston students in Grades 5 to 7, we wish you the very best as you move on to your Evanston Heights School. While we will miss you dearly, we are so proud of the growth and resilience you have shown. As you begin this next chapter, remember always the strength that lies within you, carry it with confidence and courage.
And to our Grade 9 students, congratulations as you step into high school. You are well prepared for the journey ahead, and we have every confidence that you will achieve great things. Embrace the opportunities before you, stay true to yourselves, and know that you are set up for continued success.
Families, thank you once again for being such an important part of our school community. I encourage you over the summer months to spend meaningful time together as families, cherishing those moments and seeking out everyday opportunities to learn, explore, and grow with one another.
Wishing you all a safe, relaxing, and joyful summer.
Inform| 2026-27 Back to School Information
Information for the back-to-school plan has been posted on our school website.
Remind| Extended Leaves
Simon Fraser School does not encourage extended absences for students during the school year. If families decide to take students out of school for longer than one week, an Extended Leave Form (available at the office) must be completed PRIOR to the absence.
In addition, if we are unable to determine a student's attendance in the first week of school, their place at Simon Fraser School is not guaranteed. If you have any questions about extended absences, please contact the school office.
Remind| School Fees are Due
This is a reminder to please pay your school fees in MyCBE. The school has already paid the vendors for past field trips and now we are waiting for families to pay their fees to cover these costs. We request that all families pay outstanding fees so that we can continue offering these valuable learning opportunities to our students.
Parents/guardians are welcome to come to the office to pay fees in person or online. Please call the school office if you need any support.
