Inform| Alberta’s Class Size Reduction Grant 

We are pleased to inform you that our school has been allocated 2 additional teaching positions for the 2026–27 school year through the Government of Alberta’s Class Size Reduction Grant. 

This grant funds teaching positions that support improved learning conditions in Kindergarten to Grade 9 classrooms. 

This funding is specifically intended to help reduce class sizes in core subject areas (English Language Arts/French Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies), with priority given to schools experiencing the greatest class size pressures. 

This decision was made using system-wide data that considers: 

• The number of classes exceeding provincial class size benchmarks 
• Projected enrolment and class organization 
• School programming and grade configuration 

Our goal is to ensure students benefit from: 

• Increased teacher attention 
• Improved classroom learning environments 
• Greater support for diverse learning needs 

We remain committed to supporting strong learning environments for all students and using our resources thoughtfully and strategically. 

Inform | Individual Program Plans 

IPP’s will come home on Tuesday June 16. Please look for these important documents in your child’s backpack on Tuesday. We have a tight deadline for turning around the signature pages. Please contact your homeroom teacher if amendments need to be made. Sign and return the signature page as soon as possible. 

Inform| Vaccinations 

Please be advised that the final catch-up round of vaccinations for students will be held during the afternoon of June 18, 2026, at the school. 

This clinic provides an opportunity for students who have missed previous vaccination dates to receive any required immunizations before the end of the school year. 

Remind| Fees 

Fees are now due. A reminder that we ask ALL outstanding fees, from current and previous years, be paid in full prior to the end of the year. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please apply for a central fee waiver. This waiver must be completed for a student to be considered for a school-based waiver of fees.  

School Fee's Owed statements will be sent to families next week.  

Remind | PE Shoes 

With the season of sandals and Crocs, please ensure your student has a pair of runners in their main locker for physical education class. Daily PE classes are still running and require appropriate shoes for safety. 

Remind| Transportation Registration 

Families are now able to register for yellow school bus service for the 2026-27 school year. Registration is available through your MyCBE account. Families must register by Sunday, June 14, 2026, for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.

If your child will be attending a different school in September, please give written notice to the office, especially if the school is outside of the school district. Please include the full name and grade of your child, the name of the new school, if known.
