Good afternoon families,
This week marked the beginning of Ramadan for Muslims around the world. This sacred month is a meaningful time of reflection, compassion, generosity, and gratitude for many CBE families and community members who observe it.
Ramadan begins a month-long period of spiritual commitment, community connection, and acts of kindness. It also provides our school community with an important opportunity to deepen our understanding and honour the diverse traditions, experiences, and practices of our Muslim students, staff, and families.
We extend our warm wishes to all who are preparing to observe Ramadan. May this month bring peace, reflection, and meaningful connection.
Inform| Pink Shirt Day
Pink Shirt Day (February 25/26) is an opportunity for our school community to stand together in promoting kindness, inclusion, and respect. Originating in Canada, this day reminds us that even small acts of courage and compassion can make a powerful difference.
By wearing pink, we show our commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and a strong sense of belonging. Pink Shirt Day is not only about preventing bullying, it is about building each other up, choosing empathy, and speaking out when something isn’t right.
As a school community, we are committed to fostering understanding, celebrating our differences, and ensuring that every student and staff member feels seen, heard, and supported.
Let’s wear pink with pride and continue to lead with kindness, not just today, but every day.

Request| Drinks in the Classroom
We have noticed an increase in students arriving at school with various drinks in the morning and after lunch, particularly sugary beverages such as energy drinks and pop.
Teachers typically allow water bottles only in classrooms. We kindly ask that students finish any other drinks before entering their classrooms.
